About Mike Purdham

Mike Purdham is vastly experienced at producing and managing large-scale projects, with a particular focus on the promotion of the creative industries. Mike believes that as a key driver in modern economies, the Creative Industries are vital to unlocking South Africa’s economic potential.

Over the past decade, he managed the country’s largest contemporary art competition before joining Interactive Africa, where he ran the Design Indaba Expo, South Africa’s premier design showcase. Amongst others, Mike has also managed groundbreaking projects such as the Design Indaba 10 x 10 housing project.

Mike is currently a project manager at the Cape Town Partnership, managing projects relating to the Central City Development Strategy and Creative Cape Town.
