Cape Town’s East City is slowly developing into a cultural hub of creative enterprise. Join us for a walk through the “old city” by gathering on the Grand Parade – South Africa’s oldest public square.
From here we visit the City Hall, sharing with you the plans to upgrade this grand old building into Cape Town’s premier music and cultural centre. Next door we take a peek into the newly restored Drill Hall – where 200 000 books await eager readers. We then walk up Buitenkant Street with a quick stop at the old Granary building where you will be brought up to date on the latest plans to restore this interesting old space. |
